Meet Dr. Leslie & Pastor Emily Buabasah

Founders of Christ Foundation Family Church

Apostle Leslie Buabasah

Reverend Dr. Leslie Buabasah is the General Overseer of Christ Foundation Family Churches. He was ordained into full-time ministry in 1981 after attending bible college in All Nations For Christ in Benin, Nigeria.

He worked under Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams of C.A.F.M Intl. for 18 years, primarily as the director of music and the missions director. Under his leadership, the headquarters church grew in a significant way because he introduced the style of music that brought in the youth in droves. He was also in charge of music in various national crusades like the T.L. Osborn crusades, Oral Roberts crusade and the Benny Hinn crusade.

In partnership with the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship executives, several chapters were established in West Africa and beyond. As missions director for the church, he served in and helped in crusades to establish several sister churches. In 1994, he was sent to pioneer a church in a suburb of Accra, Ghana. From a membership of 30 people, the church has grown to over a 1,000 members in the headquarters church. He and his wife Reverend Mrs. Emily Buabasah were officially released to handle that work in 1995. He has since set four sister churches in different locations in Ghana and recently established another church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA. He is involved in medical missions in deprived areas and the prisons.

Apostle Leslie, as he is affectionately called, is a very well respected man of God who has helped advance the gospel in Africa. He is a dynamic teacher of the unadulterated Word of God with signs following his ministry.

Reverend Emily Buabasah

Reverend Emily Buabasah completed her high school education at Achimota School Ghana and graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, were she obtained a B.A. in Social Sciences and MSc Planning.

Reverend Buabasah was born-again in June 1981 and immediately had a passion for Christ that has not waned. She sensed a call to the ministry not long after her conversion but desired to complete her postgraduate studies.

Beginning as a worship leader in church, her pastors knew there was a call of God on her life. She was encouraged and given great opportunity by the Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams. He gave her access to preach in the pulpit and was among the earliest charismatic woman preachers in Ghana. She was ordained into Full-time ministry in 1992 by Glad Tidings International, United Kingdom. She attended seminary school at Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon and obtained a Certificate in Ministry, with Distinction, in 2004. In 2005, Reverend Buabasah obtained a Certificate of Ordination by the International Ministers’ Fellowship, USA.

She served in various capacities such as Administrator, Home Cell Fellowship Director, Bible School Lecturer, and Resident Pastor in Christian Action Faith Ministries International until 1994 when she and her husband, Apostle Leslie Tex Buabasah, were released to start their own ministry, known as Christ Foundation Family Church in Sakumono, Ghana.

Reverend Buabasah is a frequent international guest speaker in women’s conferences; church programs in countries like Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland; and the United Kingdom. She is a much sought after preacher and teacher of the Word of God, with a prophetic calling. She has been featured on television programs and was a radio host preacher for over ten years. She is very involved in marriage and general counseling and is always available to provide wise counsel beyond her immediate congregation. She is first and foremost an intercessor and then a preacher of the unadulterated Word of God.

Her vision is to challenge the many hurting, abused, broken women to arise to their destiny. The call is for women of all tribes, tongues and nations to come out of their issues and become agents of change for their generation.
Emily Buabasah is married to Apostle Leslie Buabasah, her partner in ministry. They have five children who assist them in ministry.
